The CNC Sprint series of live centers has been redesigned to guarantee an accuracy of ±0.00004”, the company says, adding that the new design provides the highest bearing capacity available in centers of this size. According to the company, the series was developed for aggressive high-horsepower turning and grinding and enables deeper cuts, better surface finish, and extended service life. They are available in standard, tracer and long points in 4 and 5 Morse Taper. They can support workpieces weighing as much as 5,000 lbs. at speeds as high as 6,000 rpm.

 

Also available are C4T live centers, which feature the Sprint design with the addition of a labyrinth bearing isolator seal for bearing protection. These centers are recommended for operations requiring high pressure or flood coolant.
