A line of acme and stub acme thread milling cutters are available on thread sizes starting at ¼" -16 and going up to and including a 1.00" - 5. The cutters are available in uncoated and TiAlN-coated micrograin carbide as well as long and standard length versions. These tools will give users a number of distinct advantages compared with tapping when cutting deep Acme threads including reduced horsepower requirements and better surface finishes.
