A Top Shops’ Meet, Greet and Learn

The Top Shops Conference is a forum custom designed for networking and peer-to-peer exchange for all shops looking to see how they might stack up against other shops in many categories.

For the past seven years, our sister publication, Modern Machine Shop, has conducted a metalworking benchmarking program called Top Shops. It been very successful and helpful to shops trying to measure how they measure up. Several PM readers have been among the Top Shops. As we have charted in PM for the past few years, many traditional screw machine shops are moving into machining operations that are less traditional in order to be of more value to their customers.

This year, Top Shops is moving from a “read about top shops” to a conference where attendees can meet, greet and learn from these examples of best practices. The conference is scheduled September 5-7 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana. The conference is where leading shops, of all sizes and specialties, can connect to celebrate their respective contributions to the manufacturing community and to learn about the tools and technologies that will help them continue to lead and succeed. That’s what Top Shops do.

The conference is a forum custom designed for networking and peer-to-peer exchange for all shops looking to see how they might stack up against other shops in many categories. Presentations will cover these topics in an effort to enable attendees to benchmark their business.

For shops in a narrower category, such as PM readers, but who are looking to expand into broader operations performed, this is an excellent opportunity to pick the brains of shops that have been there and done that.
