PM Editor-in-Chief Chris Koepfer provides an opening statement to kick off PCx 2017.

Parts Cleaning Expo 2017 got off to a great start on Tuesday morning. Production Machining's own Chris Koepfer took part in providing the conference opening statement, along with Products Finishing Editor Tim Pennington and Publisher Todd Luciano. The cooperation of these two brands, along with Modern Machine Shop, is a key ingredient in covering the wide spectrum of concerns related to parts cleaning in manufacturing.

The morning's technical sessions included a look at chemistry concepts for cleaning (Darren Williams, Sam Houston State University), ways to optimize aqueous cleaning and rust prevention (David Gotoff, Chemetall), and technical cleanliness inspection (Ben Lang, Acument Global Technologies).

Showfloor exhibits opened at 10:30 a.m. (co-located with the Precision Machining Technology Show). PCx attendees have the opportunity to go back and forth between ongoing conference sessions Tuesday and Wednesday and equipment demonstrations from many of the top parts cleaning equipment suppliers.

This event, held every other year, is the ideal environment for manufacturing professionals to learn vital information about proper cleaning processes for saving time and money.
