There is much interest in the precision machined parts industry when it comes to machinability of both leaded and lead-free brasses and alloys. On April 25 at 1 p.m. at PMTS in Columbus, Ohio, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Adam Estelle of the Copper Development Association will conduct a knowledge center presentation to discuss the topic of optimizing cutting speeds and feeds for brasses and their alloys beyond the recommended handbook values.

Knowledge centers are brief, interactive presentations held on the show floor at PMTS. This year, the presentations are in the back of the hall. They are led by industry experts and leading equipment suppliers and offer an opportunity for deeper learning about products and process technologies of interest to attendees.
