Manufacturing Continues Strong Performance

The September 2012 report of U.S. manufacturing technology orders (USMTO) shows continued strength in manufacturing capital equipment sales. This report is compiled by AMT—the Association For Manufacturing Technology and represents production and distribution of manufacturing technology.

The report is broken down by national and regional data, reflecting domestic and imported machine tools and related equipment. As the attached report shows, 2012 is on track to be a banner year for manufacturing technology.

With the election behind us, domestic manufacturers are refocusing on the business of manufacturing as the environment for making things continues to favor the North American market. We are globally among the lowest cost producers, and continued investment in cost effective production technology will help ensure continued success.
