Classic Turning Inc. Acquires Great Lakes Metal Finishing

Classic Turning Inc., a CAD/CAM design and CNC machining company in Jackson, Mich., has acquired Great Lakes Metal Finishing Inc. (GLMF), also located in Jackson.

Classic Turning Inc., a CAD/CAM design and CNC machining company in Jackson, Mich., has acquired Great Lakes Metal Finishing Inc. (GLMF), also located in Jackson.

Philip J. Curtis, Classic Turnings’ chairman, says, “The acquisition of GLMF positions the company for growth particularly in the aerospace and medical markets. It qualifies Classic Turning to supply parts complete with all special metal finishing operations done in-house with reduced cycle time. Further, it gives us the needed floor space to continue to expand and to be responsive to the needs of our customers.”

Various made-to-print fully machined fittings, adapters and valves will be processed at the newly acquired plant for Classic Turning’s aerospace, medical and high performance industrial customers.

As GLMF joins the Classic Turning team, its senior management will join Classic Turning with John Spencer as CEO and Dennis Zdanowitz as COO of the GLMF division of Classic Turning.
