Okuma America Corp. has promoted Julie Murphy to director of marketing, effective April 1 this year. She will be responsible for marketing activities in the Western hemisphere, including strategic development to meet the corporate sales, market share and profitability objectives, in addition to working with the global marketing team to ensure worldwide brand consistency.

Ms. Murphy has served as marketing manager since joining Okuma America Corporation in December 2008.

Ms. Murphy holds an MBA in marketing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University. She has 20 years of experience in B2B marketing, strategic planning, product development and marketing communications in the manufacturing industry.
