The subspindle is fully programmable in two axes. This feature delivers interference-free setup and processing while delivering faster cycle times. The fully programmable two-axis parts catcher is designed to easily allow part pick up from the main or subspindle and gives great process flexibility. Coupled with the company’s precision manufacturing craftsmanship, it delivers Heidenhain glass scales on both X-axis turrets and both C-axis spindles, ensuring accuracy, the company says.

By using the company’s EGS tooling, as many as 192 cuttings and as many as 48 live tools can be loaded for machining of extremely complex parts in one operation, running several parts without any change-over time and loading redundant tooling using the company’s tool life management system for untended machining. The Fanuc 3li control with 10.4" color screen is loaded with all the options to give more capability. Eurotech has developed its own software package, which includes gap elimination, SBS tool load monitoring and easy cycles. These features deliver more than 20 percent cycle time savings and improve process time.
