Manchester Tool Company's MTC-Separator Xtra (MTC-SX) cutoff inserts in 4 mm offer a new standard in chip management, while featuring a "double V" design for maximum stability and application-specific geometry that minimizes cutting pressure. MTC-SX inserts deliver extended insert life and are highly cost effective. Designed to increase speeds and feeds for all cutoff operations, the inserts exclusively fit MTC integral shank tool holders.
The fully integrated MTC tool holder and insert system is composed of integral shank tool holders and specially designed inserts calculated to provide improved chip control and management. In this insert, other styles of MTC inserts are available, and all are double-ended for extended tool life. The MTC-PC insert is designed with a full-nose radius geometry for plunge and contour operations. For deep grooving, the MTC-PT insert performs plunge and turn operations. The MTC-SX Ultra features application-specific geometry especially useful for hard-to-machine materials.
