Machine Control Technologies Inc. says its MCT5000 five-axis CNC universal tool and cutter grinder is a flexible and cost effective seven-axis machine with five-axis CNC control for standard and special form tool and insert manufacturing and regrinding of high speed steel, carbide and PCD.
The grinder provides complete tool grind capacity from 1/64” to 1 1/8” with built-in macro programs for round and tool inserts. Machines are fully automatic with 3D probing and custom auto-loader capabilities. Other features include conversational and macro programming; a workhead with 5C air collet closer; 0.0001 control resolution; built-in 30- gallon half-horse power coolant system; and more. An MCT production auto-loader and 3D automatic probe are offered as options.
