Cecor’s single-phase electric, 60-gallon Sump Shark sump cleaner Model SE15-60PL has the same space-saving vertical design as the popular SA5-60PL (air) unit, but can be plugged into any standard electric unit, which makes it convenient to use in a variety of locations, the company says.

With a suction lift of 13” Hg or 177” water and pumping rate of 60 gpm, the sump cleaner can suck up an entire sump of metalworking fluid entrained with sludge or chips in minutes. Onboard one cubic foot filter captures solids in a reusable filter bag. Filtered fluid is pumped out of the tank for reuse or transported for batch recycling. High cfm gives the Sump Shark increased nozzle velocity for picking up shallow puddles from the floor.

Using this sump cleaner is much easier and faster than cleaning a sump by hand using a pail and shovel or shop vac. Doing the job faster will decrease labor costs and machine tool downtime, the company says. In addition, using the coolant longer and disposing of less will cut costs even further.

The SE15-60PL has overfill protection, and all discharge ports are valved. The unit comes complete with hoses, quick-disconnect coupler, suction tools and filter bags. An optional F23 filter (2.3 cubic feet) is available for coolant heavy with chips and swarf. The DF4 discharge filter is available for the finest filtering.
