Sandvik Coromant has released a tooling system designed to provide a large number of tooling solutions through a comparatively small amount of inventory. Made up of CoroTurn SL adaptors and CoroCut SL cutting blades, the system's combinations allow for a variety of parting and grooving operations.

CoroTurn SL adaptors contain a serrated interface to be combined with different cutting blades. This interface results in vibration and deflection properties comparable to that of a solid tool. Also, all CoroCut SL cutting blades are designed to direct cutting fluid to the exact cutting edge.

These modular tools are suitable for both external and internal machining.
