HoleMaster Hole Driller EDM machines are now available with fourth- and fifth-axis capabilities. An optional compound rotary table provides precise A- and B-axis positioning, extending the capabilities of these machines to the submerged or unsubmerged EDM drilling of angled holes and slots. Typical applications include cooling and/or exhaust gas holes in turbine rings and blades; medical prosthetics and instruments; electronic housings and components; laboratory and analytical equipment; optical instrumentation; and extrusion dies for glass and composite fibers.

The rotary axis is programmed and controlled using the company's standard CNC. It can be installed on new machines prior to shipment or easily retrofit to existing machines in the field.

The rotary axis speeds production of 4- and 5-axis parts by simplifying fixturing and eliminating the need to refixture parts. It accommodates parts to 23.5" x 23" x 12.75" with working cubes to 14.75" x 14.75 x 12".
