Toellner Systems Inc. line of automated parts loading for bulk rod/shaft feeders can load a part in less than 3 seconds. This particular system was specifically designed to hold 1,500 4.5-mm diameter by 690-mm long, horizontal, bent raw rods in a part hopper (different hopper sizes available on request). The rod feeder has three very tough stainless carbon steel-belted conveyors that rotate clockwise, parallel to each other. Each conveyor’s steel belt has deep grooves that separate the rods as they slide into the load nest, one by one, before passing them to the rod straightener, ending the automation process. These machines are built using rugged steel and are made extremely tough to last; they incorporate top-quality industry standard parts, including an Allen Bradley PLC unit and a part queue system with a max high/low switch. The units run off standard 110 VAC.
These units are available with different specifications, depending on each customer’s individual needs and requests.
