The BFE 9-90 electronic band file is designed for metal removal and deburring in hard-to-reach places. Available from Metabo Corporation, the file offers 900 W of power and features the manufacturer’s Marathon motor with slim motor housing for comfort handling. Variable belt speed is 750-1,770 ft/min.
The file is equipped with a die-cast aluminum gear housing; a toolless belt exchange for safe and efficient belt changes; a thumbwheel for easy speed selection; and a grinding arm that swivels 270 degrees for clean finishing in angular spaces. Other features include a winding protection grid, auto-stop carbon brushes and Vario-Constamatic electronic speed control. It uses standard belt widths of ¼", ½", and ¾" by 18" long. The sanding belt arm length is 3 ½".
