The company is introducing the Econoquik Model 42170 three-axis CNC 1-5/8" bar and chucking machine. The machine has a three-axis tool platen enabling the use of ten tools in a small area and minimizing the travel distance from tool to tool. The incorporation of the third axis combined with gang tooling makes this lathe a fast, highly productive machine. The addition of the "Y" axis also allows fast and easy tool centerline adjustment through simple tool offsets. Standard equipment includes a parts catcher and chip conveyor. The German collet nose accepts Index B42 collets. Servodrives and main motor are MITSUBISHI. Software includes many help and menu screens and a feature that enables the operator to use the electronic handwheel, to test the program safely for errors when making the first part and reverse the motion if there is tooling interference.
