CNC Centerless Grinder

Monza Model CNC 1 entry level CNC centerless grinder features the Fanuc Powermate ID control with color touchscreen interface for operator input. The CNC is capable of storing program parameters for many different part numbers, and also controlling the available Constant Surface Speed (CSS) option not available on the previous entry level Monza CNC models. The Fanuc CNC controls the combined regulating wheel and work rest slides via a brushless digital servodrive motor with encoder positioning feedback.

The Fanuc CNC controls the combined regulating wheel and work rest slides via a brushless digital servodrive motor with encoder positioning feedback. The slide movement is actuated via a precision planetary roller satellite screw, offering a 2-mm pitch and a multi-lead design to eliminate backlash. The minimum programmable increment is 0.0005 mm.

CNC cycles consist of through feed and in feed with rough and finish feed rates, programmable dwell and spark out times. Operating cycles consist of jog, single step (in feed), single cycle and continuous cycle. Slide positioning, zero setting and touchscreen size correction are also included.

The CNC is also configured to manage all plug-in optional automation and gaging products offered with the machines, for both though-feed and in-feed applications.
