The OL-1 office mill is small enough to fit through a 36" doorway and can be moved easily with a pallet jack or equipment dolly. The lathe from Haas Automation is equipped with a 5-hp (peak) spindle that spins to 6,000 rpm. The threaded 5C collet spindle features an automatic air-closer, and accepts a number of optional chucks. The machine's high-speed cross slide has travels of 12" × 8" and accepts a variety of gang-style tools. The cross slide's design guarantees fast chip-to-chip times and short cycle times, while offering quick setup and good clearance. Brushless servos on all axes yield cutting feeds up to 500 ipm and rapids up to 757 ipm.
