The company with Dav-Ro Machine Tool Limited will introduce the Dav-Ro Multi 5, a CNC retrofit package that fits davenport model B machines. This replaces the conventional motor, electrics, spindle change gear box, feed change gear box, high speed clutch, starting clutch, rollaway clutch, cam shaft brake and threading attachment all with three servomotors, an encoder and a CNC control. Benefits include increased productivity, reduced cycle time, variable index time, constant cam shaft speed, ease of operation, no brake adjustments, no clutches to adjust, no gears to change, no clutch warming up period, no rollaway clutch and a PLC control.
