The Maxxturn 65 contains a water-cooled spindle motor, the integrated Y-axis and a sturdy and dynamic machine design, maker Emco Maier says. The Y axis is integrated directly in the machine's body as a rigid element. Unlike the Maxxturn 95, this model no longer has a projection, and wide guideway intervals were chosen.
The directly powered, water-cooled synchronous hollow spindle motor for the headstock and counterspindle are also being implemented for the first time. The C-axis profits from this arrangement since it can be designed to be much sturdier. While making improvements to the drive sector, the company also increased the rapid traverse speeds and enlarged the spherical thread drive to ensure that the high feed force is optimally transmitted.
