Collet Chuck Increases Productivity

The ProDyne fixed length collet chuck features a quick-change, quarter-turn collar system that is said to allow setup changes to be performed in seconds, with no loss in accuracy. Its small size eliminates virtually all tool interference problems and allows machines to run at higher spindle speeds, improving productivity and throughput. The collet chuck is compatible with machines using an A-4, A-5, A-6 or A-8 spindle nose and can be mounted using the machine's existing drawtube and actuator.

The collet chuck is compatible with machines using an A-4, A-5, A-6 or A-8 spindle nose and can be mounted using the machine's existing drawtube and actuator. The fixed length means there's no drawback as the collet closes. This design feature helps improve the efficiency of dual and sub-spindle machines and bar feeder applications.

In typical applications, the collet chuck offers a TIR of 0.0005" and a repeatability of 0.0002" using industry standard B42, B60 and B90 solid collets without the need for adjustment. Master collets allow the use of Hardinge S series pads.
