The M 33 combination lathe is ideal for mixed volume, short run operations as well as dedicated high-volume applications. With a swing of 33.46" and a distance between centers of 80", the M 33 × 80 combines turning capacity within a compact 203" × 96" footprint. The machine has a cast iron "H" bed design. All guideways are induction hardened and ground. They feature a Turcite-coated carriage and cross slide that move smoothly on the solid cast iron bed and saddle guideways, according to the company.
The belt-driven cartridge-style gearless headstock features a high-torque 50-hp P-type spindle motor with variable speed drive. The two-speed gearbox gives the M 33 maximum torque for heavy cutting with full horsepower at speeds as low as 48 rpm.
