Compact Live Center

Gepy live centers’ compact size and design combine a high-precision tapered roller bearing with an outer bearing race formed by the center body itself. This allows for maximum dimensional compactness while providing for a greater revolving-point diameter. The tapered bearing system eliminates the need for radial or thrust bearing as well as adjustment issues.

Running concentricity is guaranteed to 2 microns. One advantage to the center is the continual complete absence of play, both radial and axial, in the working position, causing no adjustments to be required. Also, an oil-resistant plastic sealing joint affords better rotation and provides complete protection for the rollers against foreign matter. The center is said to offer constant precision, even after long use and regular wear on the taper rollers that are in simultaneous contact in their roller races.
