The BK Mikro TK7A/RL scanner is compact and fast, making it a good fit for small areas such as with Swiss machines, where space is at a premium and tool diameters are very small. Like all BK Mikro scanners, this model uses a servomotor, which allows for a controlled movement and accurate checking of tools as 0.1 mm in diameter. The A variant scanner is used to check one tool and the RL variant checks two tools by going right, then left during the same cycle. Applications include tool monitoring, part ejection/free space monitoring, object inspection, and position recognition on lathes, Swiss machines, mills and transfer machines.
