The company introduces the Miracle W Star 8 X D coolant-fed drill. Cutting edge and flute design features achieve drilling depths of eight times the drill diameter. The deep-hole drill may be used on machining centers that do not require high-pressure coolant as a result of excellent chip control and chip evacuation, the company says. Drilling times are said to be 20 percent shorter than conventional drill times because a pecking cycle is eliminated. The drill’s coating extends tool life by resisting welding of various materials, the company says. Stocked diameters are 0.125" through 0.5".
