Coolant-Though Toolholder Collets

NT Tool Corporation has introduced a line of 100TG coolant collets that deliver coolant to the tool up to a maximum pressure of 1,000 psi. These collets feature a one-piece steel design with short slots that prevent coolant from reaching the face of the collet. This eliminates the need for rubber or silicone seals, allowing for greater coolant pressure, according to the company.

These collets feature a one-piece steel design with short slots that prevent coolant from reaching the face of the collet. This eliminates the need for rubber or silicone seals, allowing for greater coolant pressure, according to the company. The design also reduces the loss of accuracy traditionally associated with multi-piece designs, and since there are no components to wear out, collet life is said to be increased.

These collets are compatible with all manufacturers' 100TG chucks. 100TG-OH coolant collets are available in sizes from 15/64" to 1" in 1/64" increments. Metric collets are available in standard sizes from 6 mm to 26 mm.
