The challenge in turning high-precision, small-size parts resides in the available cutting speed delivered by the equipment, says the company. The double-spindle K65 speed with spindle speeds up to 12,000 rpm is the answer to this demanding application. The acceleration (and deceleration) time to (from) 12,000 rpm clocked less than 1 second is said to permit the precision turning of small parts at a high rate of productivity. This model will be presented with a 4-second loader directly mounted on the tool slide. This machine finds a lot of applications for the finish hard turning of small-hardened components in one or two operations, according to the company.
