Big Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc.'s new additions to the Sphinx line include the Quadro 15 Plus and the Phoenix Drill. Quadro 15 Plus is designed for cutting stainless steel, steel, cast iron and other nonferrous materials while increasing feeds and speeds. The drill achieves a hole quality of H7 or better. Productivity is maximized by eliminating the need for subsequent finish operations, delivering a quality surface finish of Ra 0.8 micrometer (32 rms). It is available from 4 to 20 mm in diameter in standard length of 6× diameter.

The solid carbide Phoenix Drill features internal coolant, a smooth coating and a high performance point and flute geometry to allow for more production at increased feed and speeds. Internal coolant for diameters starting at 2.5 mm makes it ideal for cutting hard and nonferrous materials such as steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The Phoenix is available from 1 to 4 mm in diameter in increments of 0.1 mm, standard length of 6× diameter.
