The company’s standard drill inserts range in diameter from 3/8" (9.5 mm) to 4 1/2" (114 mm) and the standard holder allows for a depth-to-diameter drilling ratio up to 32:1. Additional offerings include specialized geometry, coatings and holders, according to the company.
The company offers six types of substrates: HSS, super cobalt, premium cobalt and three grades of carbide, C2, C3 and C5. The T-A drilling system, which is available in both standard and special styles, can be coated with TiN, TiCN or TiAIN. Now as a fourth coating option, CVD diamond is designed to cut through high silicon aluminum, copper, bronze and similar non-ferrous materials.
