Hydromat Inc.'s EPIC R/T 32/45-16 is for machining stock sizes up to 1.75 inches. This machine utilizes 16 horizontal tool spindles and the capacity of up to eight vertical tool spindles, that’s up to 24 tools in the cut at once. The EPIC R/T line-up possess the characteristics of more conventional Hydromats--maintaining the integrity, reliability and flexibility of its predecessors--while featuring the Embedded Motion Control (EMC) technology, a special plug and play control architecture embedded into each tool spindle unit, offering fully independent functionality for each axis motion. Modular tool spindle system with quick-change presettable heads for easy change-over help the EPIC R/T offer quick and easy change-overs – typically 1 to 3 hours. The EPIC R/T 32/45-16, as with all Hydromat rotary transfer machines, supports lean manufacturing principles and competitive manufacturing at small, medium and large production quantities.
