Floating Reamer Chuck For Swiss Lathes

Genevieve Swiss Industries has introduced a Swiss-made floating reamer chuck for Swiss-type lathes that is capable of 0. 009" of true orbital float. Not only can it float in angular directions like typical floating chucks, it can also move parallel off center up to 0.

Genevieve Swiss Industries has introduced a Swiss-made floating reamer chuck for Swiss-type lathes that is capable of 0.009" of true orbital float. Not only can it float in angular directions like typical floating chucks, it can also move parallel off center up to 0.009".

Small enough to fit into Swiss-type lathes, the reamer chuck can be used in live tool spindles as well as static ID positions to ensure accuracy of small holes. The design prevents reamers from breaking by aligning the tool with the drilled hole. Parallel float prevents holes from "bell mouthing." The bearing design ensures that the reamer always returns to the center.

Available in either ER-8 or ER-11 collet sizes, the floating chucks can assist in solving problems with micro reamers. Shank sizes are available in 8 mm, 10 mm, 20 mm and 22 mm as well as 3/4" and 1" sizes.
