Micro-Vu Corporation introduced a version of InSpec metrology software for measuring parts for automotive, medical, electronics, aerospace and many other industries.

InSpec software is installed on a base of more than 10,000 Micro-Vu measuring machines worldwide. This version increases the capability of the InSpec software. The version is available at no charge, consistent with the company’s policy of free updates.

The capability of InSpec can be demonstrated on Micro-Vu's automated multi-sensor Excel and Vertex machines. A manual version of InSpec can be demonstrated on Micro-Vu's Sol machine.

Key features of the version include: Form Fit capability integrated into InSpec that can eliminate the need for third-party software; easy-to-see display of feature form with tolerance bands; area focusing that enables quick 3D mapping of surfaces via a collection of multiple focus points per snapshot; character recognition of serial numbers, part numbers, lot numbers and bar codes that can be exported or added to reports; Enhanced Reporting that displays all necessary information in a colorful and easy way to interpret, including tolerances and bar display.
