Garnet/Abrasive Removal System For Waterjet

The abrasive removal system, Garnet Removal System, which is designed to continuously remove exhausted abrasive garnet that collects in a waterjet catch tank, eliminates cleanout downtime and maximizes production. System selection is based on square footage of the waterjet catcher tank and its number of cutting heads. Now available in eight standard models/sizes, the system can be adapted to any abrasive waterjet cutting machine.

The abrasive removal system, Garnet Removal System, which is designed to continuously remove exhausted abrasive garnet that collects in a waterjet catch tank, eliminates cleanout downtime and maximizes production.

System selection is based on square footage of the waterjet catcher tank and its number of cutting heads. Now available in eight standard models/sizes, the system can be adapted to any abrasive waterjet cutting machine. Models range from the smallest (4-square-foot tank) to the largest (450-square-foot tank). The water flow rates go from 70 gpm in the smallest model, to as much as 1,600 gpm in the largest.

A sweeper package fits any waterjet catcher tank. Designed to move large quantities of garnet-laden water along the bottom of the tank toward a suction port, the garnet-laden water is pre-filtered through a suction strainer that collects larger parts that accumulate during the cutting process.

The heart of the system is the closed-column, vertical sealess pump and the heavy-duty centrifugal separator where the garnet-free water that is forced back into the waterjet catch tank through a series of eductors that make up the sweeper package. This returned clean water drives the sweeper package.
