The Mikroturn 300 Baseline slant bed horizontal turning center is equipped with hydrostatic bearings that are used in slide and spindle designs. A granite base provides damping, stiffness and thermal stability. According to the company, the machine is designed with complete processing in one setup and shorter cycle times.

The company offers horizontal and vertical machines with as much as an 80" swing capacity (2,000-mm diameter). These machines produce finish quality in hardened steel components (as much as 68 Rc). Dimensional and form accuracies are typically held to 80 millionths (2 micrometers) or less with achievable surface finishes as low as 4 Ra (0.1 micrometer). Workhead total runout is 4 millionths (0.1 micrometer). The machine has a 12" swing and is arranged with Fanuc 0i control system having axis resolutions of 4 millionths (0.1 micrometer). Also offered are control systems providing 0.4 millionths (0.01 micrometer) resolution from Fanuc and Siemens.
