High Productivity Taps

The Applix wide material range (WMR) taps are manufactured from premium quality vanadium powder steel, which is said to give them a combination of toughness, edge strength and wear resistance. Other features include: high helix 48-degree three-flute spiral flute taps; a TiN coating option for thread forming taps; a special tap for stainless steel applications; spiral point taps; and UNC, UNF, metric coarse and metric fine sizes. The taps bring you cost savings through reduced cycle times, less scrap and rework and more treads per hole.
