High Speed Thread Measurement System

The Johnson Thread-View Systems' Thread-View Model 3620 system is a non-contact, fully automatic, high speed measurement system for the calibration of external threaded gages. The system will measure 12 thread characteristics to 1/2 micron accuracy (0. 00002") in less than 3 minutes.

The Johnson Thread-View Systems' Thread-View Model 3620 system is a non-contact, fully automatic, high speed measurement system for the calibration of external threaded gages. The system will measure 12 thread characteristics to 1/2 micron accuracy (0.00002") in less than 3 minutes. At the conclusion of the measurement cycle, the system will generate NIST traceable certification.

With this system, the calibration procedures can be performed in-house at a fraction of the cost of traditional methodologies or outsourcing.

As the entire thread profile can be measured and documented, the system is said to offer savings when initiating first article inspection. Total thread measurement control is obtained through the data generated by the system. With this information, the machinist is able to precisely adjust the manufacturing process, which leads to reductions in sort, scrap, rework and selective assembly.
