High Speed Windows-Based CNC

The Vega MX2 is a high speed, Windows-based CNC that incorporates high speed block processing and dynamic acceleration/deceleration interpolator with block look ahead. Part programs can now be run at higher federates while keeping close tolerances, even on older machines. Training for this CNC takes less than a day.

It also has a host of features including handwheel and pushbutton jog interfaces, manual tapping, programmable cycles, mirroring, scaling, tool length and cutter diameter compensation, and more.

Additional standard features include a color LCD display, hard disk, floppy disk, CD ROM, hand-held pendant, a fully sealed PC keyboard and standard windows-based networking.

The retrofit package includes on-site installation and operator training that usually takes 7 to 15 days. The CNC can interface with both AC and DC servo systems, which means that current motors and drives don't have to be replaced. This reduces typical retrofit costs by as much as 60 percent, the company says.
