Holding System for Sliding Heads

Sandvik Coromant’s QS holding system for sliding head machines can be combined with high precision coolant. Small-part machining of long chipping materials has traditionally created significant issues in the area of chipbreaking. With as little as 145 psi (10 bar) of coolant pressure, the new version of the QS system uses sighted nozzles to provide accurate coolant delivery, significantly improving chipbreaking and performance, the company says. The new system can easily be installed in existing machines to improve component quality and provide problem-free small part machining.
