The Hybrid line of boring bars from Ultra-Dex Tooling Systems offers an option for the shop that needs extra length of cut, but not necessarily as much as carbide bars tend to have. Six times the length to diameter ratio is obtained because of the carbide reinforcement down the center of the tool. The line is said to provide 30-percent more rigidity than steel boring bars at a cost 35-percent less than the company's carbide boring bars. We offer the standard solid Hybrid line in diameters of 0.750" to 1.500" to accommodate a CCMT, CNMG & WNMG inserts. The modular Hybrid line is offered in diameters from 0.750" to 2.000", which accepts 24 to 31 different heads depending on the shank diameter that should accommodate any style insert you may need.
