The company’s WSI system enables users to reduce unit cost by as much as 40 percent, according to the company.
The system enables ID grooving (of complex contours), turning or combination of both of these applications. The toolholders carry a coolant-through feature and can be applied for IDs of more than 2 mm.
The lengths of ID grooving carbide inserts can be variable adjusted in the Z axis through a set screw, therefore providing optimum rigidity and functionality during set up and tool change-over. The repeatability of this system is less than 0.02 mm.
