Planit Software Limited’s Edgecam 2009 R2 offers increased productivity with the introduction of time saving and safer machining features, the company says. Operations for turning, milling and mill-turning machine tools are based on common options of the underlying cycles, enabling both new and current users to quickly generate toolpaths. The software offers operations for rough and finish turning as well as 5-axis applications. The safe turret parking option helps to avoid costly collisions. A new run-only license offers a lower-cost method for users to view and run processes, but not edit them.
