The Modco PI padded/indexable style series of reamers includes a selection of blade types and sizes, along with three top rakes and three entry angles plus a variety of diameters and lengths for both general duty uses and short-range reaming applications.
The reamers are modular in construction, yet are custom configured to meet application specifics. The reamer construction allows for lengths of up to 10× the diameter for processing deep holes.
The reamers feature a clamping configuration that keeps the locking screws out of the chip slot that might otherwise restrict chip evacuation, thus minimizing the risks of marring work surfaces of damaging the tool. Similarly, an accurate adjustment mechanism allows users to achieve fast presetting precision, the company says.
