Millstar’s MBT ball nose inserts are designed to improve surface finish and workpiece geometry. According to the company, the inserts can finish any material, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and fully hardened steels. The inserts are suitable for unattended finish milling at small depth and high speeds and feed rates. The one-piece design has two cutting edges for increased economical value. The radius geometry is CNC-ground for higher machining accuracy, thus reducing manual finishing and polishing time, the company says.
