Schwanog’s insertable form tool systems are designed to efficiently manufacture precision parts for the medical, automotive and aerospace industries. The system can be applied to OD and ID grooving; form drilling; thread whirling; single-point threading; turning and milling; broaching of serrations; shaving and skiving; and polygon turning operations. The system can be used on a variety of machines including Swiss-type; conventional and multi-spindle automatic lathes; rotary transfer machines; and horizontal and vertical milling centers.

The tooling systems are designed to provide quick change-overs directly in the machine to reduce machine downtime and an increase productivity. The systems also offer a high surface-finish quality and high repeatability through the tooling system, the company says.
