Heliplus is an extension of the Heli2000 family of tools. The Heliplus family was then introduced with the HP ADKT 2207 insert with a 22 mm cutting edge length and the HP ANKT 0702 insert with a 7-mm cutting edge length.
Iscar is continuing to upgrade the Heli2000 and Heliplus families and is introducing a 19-mm (0.728") length cutting edge to accompany this unique family of tools.
The HP AD 1906 insert has a construction similar to the HP ADKT 2207 insert. The 19-mm insert features a high helix, positive rake angle and sharp cutting edge. This unique design exerts a low force, thereby leaving a high surface finish along an 0.707" shoulder. As a result of this finish and insert length, the Heliplus 19 mm can replace other extended flute milling cutters that use shorter inserts.
Like the HP ADKT 2207, the HP ADKT 1906 is a thick insert designed with two clamping holes for very secure clamping. This feature allows for high cutting speeds and high tool load applications.
