Whizin is designed to improve productivity of internal and face grooving applications. Especially developed for small-diameter turning applications, it is made with the solid carbide. Bar mounted at a slight angle, it achieves improved stability for a set diameter. By grinding away less from the base of the insert, a much better stability in the insert has been accomplished and also results in less grinding time and grinding stress. Another benefit is that the coolant may go through the toolholder and spray directly on to the cutting zone, according to the company.
