Citizen Cincom four-axes A-16 Swiss-type lathe is based on the company's B series machine and was developed to upgrade current automatic CAM-type users to CNC Swiss-type users. The lathe offers many standard NC functions.

The main spindle motor housing is built in with no belt. This technology is designed to produce higher spindle rotation accuracy resulting in better part machining. The maximum speed of the main spindle is 10,000 rpm and the standard independents subspindle has a maximum 6,000 rpm.

Also standard on the A-16 are three cross live tools and four front and four back drills offering a higher standard machine with a variety of machining capability.

The machine is controlled by a Fanuc Series 0i-T Model B system and has four cutting axes (X,Y, Z and A2).
