The Pro Pegasus DS mitre semi-automatic saws include heavy-duty mechanisms for efficient operation. Featuring 1 1/4" wide saw blades, these precision gear drive saws are said to provide 40 percent greater beam strength than saws with 1" wide saw blades. Greater beam strength results in faster, more accurate sawing. An electronic display of the cutting angle also enhances precision, as operator setup errors are eliminated.
The saw performs semi-automatic operations, including positive hydraulic cutting control, hydraulic clamping and auto return of the saw head after the cutting cycle. Its swivel saw head mitre cuts as much as 60 degrees both left and right. This saw head easily rotates via a rack and pinion system.
Other features include a machine base with locking cabinet, precision carbide blade guides with roller guides and case-hardened and ground helical gears. Infinitely variable blade speeds from 50 to 400 fpm are controlled via the saw's inverter. Cutting capacities are 12 1/2" × 20".
