This concept is based on the standardization of machining center modules of Porta design located around an indexing table with independent CNC satellite tables. This new design allows manufacturing of standard components and machine frames to reduce production times and costs.

A standard table with four CNC satellite tables and three horizontal XYZ machining units with the 12-position toolchanger means that one operator can turn out an equal amount of production compared to four individual horizontal machining centers.

This concept works on part envelopes from 220 mm (8.66") up to 700 mm (27.56"). The number of satellite tables range from four to as many as eight stations. Standard toolchangers are available in 12, 20 or 30 tool capacity with power 5.5 Kw to 20 Kw is possible.

The change-over and programming are the same as any HMC. Fixture design or jaw design is standard for any tool engineer.
